According to the assessment of the provincial authorities, customs clearance of goods at Kim Thanh Border Gate is stable, there is no congestion of vehicles carrying import and export goods. The volume of goods and vehicles exported has increased sharply in recent times, due to fresh fruits such as dragon fruit, durian... being chosen by businesses to carry out customs clearance at Kim Thanh Border Gate. On average, the number of export vehicles reaches over 200 vehicles/day, the rest are imported vehicles.

Main import items: Agricultural products, plastic, plastic products, iron and steel and iron and steel products, machinery and mechanical equipment, fertilizers, chemicals, coke, electricity... Main export items are peeled wood of all kinds, dragon fruit, durian, watermelon, cassava of all kinds, green bananas, footwear...

Import and export turnover of goods has been increasing recently, due to the high value agricultural export product durian increasing sharply in output and the demand for importing some items such as consumer goods, coke, electricity...

Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs Branch has closely coordinated with specialized inspection agencies to ensure quick customs clearance, creating favorable conditions for import-export businesses.
