Civics leads the "rain" of 10s in the high school exam

This year, 583,619 candidates registered to take the civics exam. Although the 10-point score for this subject is the highest in the country, compared to last year, the number of 10-point scores this year has decreased sharply. Specifically, in 2023 there were 14,693 10-point scores, in 2024 it decreased to 3,661.

In this subject, the whole country had 32 candidates failing. The highest score achieved by a candidate was 8.75 points.

History and geography also received a "shower" of 10s. Of which, geography increased nearly 100 times, from 35 to 3,175 10s.

In contrast to the subjects in the social sciences , the subjects in the natural sciences seem to be more modest. If last year, 12 candidates achieved perfect scores in math, this year the highest score in the country is 9.8.

According to statistics, both biology and physics decreased by 10 points, while chemistry increased from 137 to 1,278 points. However, the average score of these subjects did not change much.

In literature, two candidates from Dong Thap and Nam Dinh provinces scored 10 points.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City did not have any 10 points in math and literature, however, there were more than 1,000 candidates who scored 9 points or more in math.

After the Ministry of Education and Training announced the high school graduation exam scores, to review the score distribution of subjects as well as predict the standard scores for university admission and guide candidates based on their exam scores to register appropriate and accurate wishes, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper organized the online talkshow-consultation program "Knowing exam scores, setting appropriate wishes" at 9:30 a.m. on July 18.
