The PPA (Professional Pickleball Association) Asian rankings continued to change after the PPA Asia Hangzhou Open 2025 concluded on December 6th. In the singles event, Ly Hoang Nam defeated Jack Wong to win the first title in this system. Minh Quan and Vinh Hien won the men's doubles title for the first time, setting a new milestone for Vietnamese pickleball.
According to the updated ranking published by PPA Asia on the morning of December 10th, Ly Hoang Nam moved up in the rankings, but only ranked second with 4,200 points after winning the gold medal in Hangzhou (China), along with 3 bronze and 1 silver medal. The top-ranked athlete in Asia is Jack Wong - Hong Kit Wong with 4,700 points from 1 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, and two quarterfinal appearances.
The remaining positions in the top 5 belong to Phuc Huynh (3,600), Vinh Hien (3,200) and Trinh Linh Giang (3,000) respectively.

In the men's doubles event, Vinh Hien and Minh Quan, who recently won the PPA Asia Open in Hangzhou, only managed to secure enough points to qualify for the top 20, finishing 15th and 16th respectively. This is because, considering their points from 6 tournaments, the pair only have 1 gold medal, 2 appearances in the round of 16, and 1 appearance in the quarterfinals.

Minh Quân and Vinh Hiển did not make it into the top 10 in the men's doubles category.
In addition, the Vietnamese-born tennis duo Alix Truong and Jonathan Truong finished first in the Asian mixed doubles category. These are encouraging signs and create historical milestones.
The rankings on the PPA Asia leaderboard show a simultaneous rise of Vietnamese players in many categories. Vietnamese pickleball is entering a strong development phase, ready to compete on equal footing for regional titles.
