According to international statistics, Vietnam is currently the country with the second fastest growth rate of pickleball in the world (after Malaysia) and leads Asia in terms of awareness (up to 88%).
With a large community, Vietnam has about 30,000 to 35,000 regular players and more than 250 clubs nationwide, covering from big cities to provinces.
The growth is also reflected in sales of pickleball products, showing that players are willing to invest in the sport, turning pickleball from a hobby into a part of daily lifestyle.
The recent success of Vietnamese athletes at the prestigious PPA Tour Asia tournament system is the most important mark, affirming the training quality and competitive spirit of Vietnamese tennis players.
The historic double championship at the PPA Tour Asia Hangzhou Open 2025 with the Men's Singles (Ly Hoang Nam) and Men's Doubles (Truong Vinh Hien - Do Minh Quan) titles officially put Vietnamese pickleball on the continental achievement map.
In addition, Ly Hoang Nam created an earthquake when he defeated Federico Staksrud, the world's second-ranked player, in the men's singles semi-final. This is the clearest proof of his ability to compete fairly with international stars, especially those from Europe, the cradle of world pickleball.

In addition, the strong development of pickleball in Vietnam is also reinforced by professional steps from the state management level to tournament organization.
National tournaments and professional tournament systems such as Pickleball D-Joy Tour have been organized on a large scale, creating conditions for athletes to compete and improve their skills.
Recently, Pickleball has been included in the list of 47 official sports at the 10th National Sports Festival in 2026. This recognition is a solid foundation for the establishment of a national team and long-term investment.
Resorts and sports complexes are actively building dedicated pickleball courts to meet the growing needs of residents and tourists.
All of the above factors have combined to create a "Golden Era" for pickleball in Vietnam. From a new sport, pickleball is becoming a new hope for the country's sports, promising to reap even more success in the future.
