Vietnam has four representatives in the group of the top five pickleball players in Asia.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Vietnamese pickleball is creating a sensation in Asia with 4 representatives in the top 5 best players of the PPA Tour Asia, affirming its strength on the continental stage.

The inclusion of four top Vietnamese players in the top 5 is the result of an impressive series of achievements at recent PPA Tour tournaments, especially the historic double championship win at the PPA Tour Hangzhou Open 2025 in Hangzhou (China).

According to the latest men's singles rankings from the Professional Pickleball Association of Asia (PPA Tour Asia), Ly Hoang Nam is attracting attention with 4,200 points, closely trailing the leader Hong Kit Wong (4,700 points).

Following his Pro men's singles championship win in Hangzhou, Hoang Nam has become Vietnam's greatest hope in soon conquering the number one spot in Asia.

The presence of familiar names like Truong Vinh Hien (3rd place), along with Phuc Huynh and Trinh Linh Giang in 4th and 5th place respectively, shows that Vietnamese pickleball has not just one representative, but an entire generation of talented players rising strongly together.

Although Chinese player Hong Kit Wong is currently leading, Vietnam's overwhelming numerical advantage demonstrates the strength and depth of their national team of athletes.

The achievement of having 4 out of 5 top Asian players is the strongest affirmation of the "Golden Era" of Vietnamese pickleball, providing a solid foundation for fans to expect even greater success at upcoming international tournaments.

While Vietnam made a strong impression in the men's singles, other pickleball events in Asia continued to be dominated by representatives from China.

Chinese tennis player Yufei Long is considered to have maintained her number one ranking in Asia in the women's singles. Her consistent performance throughout the season, especially in tournaments on the PPA Tour, has helped her pull away from the chasing pack, confirming her top-tier status in the region.

The women's doubles event showcased the excellence of Ting Chieh Wei (China). She remained the most outstanding performer, consistently delivering impressive performances and maintaining a superior score compared to other pairs across the continent.

Meanwhile, the mixed doubles competition saw the dominance of Vietnamese-born player Alix Truong, who currently holds the number one ranking after an impressive run of results. At the end of the 2025 season, she accumulated a total of 4,000 points, far ahead of the second-placed player by 1,350 points.
