"Red Rain" is the first Vietnamese film to surpass the 600 billion VND mark.

As of 3:00 p.m. on September 11, according to the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam (with a certain margin of error), "Red Rain" has surpassed the 600 billion VND revenue milestone and become the first Vietnamese film to achieve this impressive feat.

Specifically, the recorded sales up to 15:10 of Red Rain is 600,640,297,071 VND. This revenue milestone was established after more than 3 weeks.

On September 11 alone, the film still topped the daily box office revenue chart with revenue reaching more than 6 billion VND, with 75,083 tickets sold and 4,121 screenings.

Red Rain also left the rest of the movies on the chart far behind, such as Getting Rich with Ghosts: Diamond War, Demon Slayer: Infinity Wall, and Ghost Bride .

The Vietnamese film, which premiered on September 11, The Contract to Sell Strawberry, is currently only in third place on the daily box office chart.

Previously, according to Box Office Vietnam statistics, as of September 7, the film's third week of release had surpassed the milestone of more than 6 million tickets sold. The film also maintained the top position for 3 consecutive weeks.

On September 7, on his personal page, director Dang Thai Huyen did not forget to thank the millions of viewers who came to the theater to watch and support Red Rain. "We have the desire to tell his father's story with all the sincerity of an artist, but it is the audience who completed that story, who gave Red Rain a living soul, so that the film is not only in the frame, but also a beautiful and memorable journey," director Dang Thai Huyen wrote on his personal page.

Although Red Rain is showing signs of "cooling down" at the box office, many industry experts predict that the film is still aiming for the next box office targets of 650 billion VND and 700 billion VND.

In the immediate future, this week, the film will face direct competition from two newly released and notable works, The Strawberry Contract and The Conjuring: Last Rites .
