Father and son pairs work together to complete challenges on the journey to Ngoc Vung Island.

There are 3 father-son pairs participating in the program: actor Trung Ruoi and baby Dua (Bao An, 4 years old); singer Neko Le with 2 babies Audi (Ngoc Kim, 6 years old) and Cati (Kim Ngan, 4 years old); actor Duy Hung with baby Bean (Duc Anh, 4 years old). At each destination, there is also a pair of father-son trainees joining the journey and a father trainee suddenly appearing in the middle of the journey.

Accordingly, fathers and their children move to a locality and stay for 3-4 days. Here, they have all their electronic devices and wallets confiscated. Each pair of fathers and children are arranged to stay in different places in the village. They have to complete challenges to get a meal for the day.

In the first journey, in addition to the three main father-son pairs, there are also guests, singer Phan Dinh Tung and baby Noah (4 years old). All live with the people on Ngoc Vung Island ( Quang Ninh ). Without money or a phone to ask for help, the fathers have to fend for themselves and their children. They have to do all kinds of jobs: squid fishing, making squid rolls, selling breakfast, catching oysters... to earn money. Meanwhile, the children at home will have to take care of themselves, find ingredients from vegetable gardens and farms around the house, or get acquainted and bring ingredients to exchange for food from neighbors...

“Dad! Where are we going?” brings viewers lots of laughter revolving around the difficult journey of father and son pairs. They live in a strange environment, lacking amenities, lacking the care of their wives and mothers. Every day, the fathers have to deal with the “rebellions” of their children without their mothers by their side, while also struggling to make a living and find meals for the family. Meanwhile, the children have to be away from their mothers, away from home, sometimes even away from their fathers, and have to learn to get used to everything. Many unexpected situations arise, creating humor for the program, and at the same time, it is also an emotional journey of discovery and growth for the children.

Through “Dad! Where are we going?”, viewers see Bean mature, thoughtful and always worried about his father when actor Duy Hung injured his leg during the journey; the independence and quick adaptation of the sisters Audi and Cati when their father Neko was not around; Noah’s carefree and mischievousness but affectionate and caring for his sisters; Dua whining but very enthusiastic in participating in missions. The children who used to be afraid and worried about the strange environment, afraid of dirt, afraid of animals... have gradually adapted, doing everything themselves, being able to pick vegetables, collect eggs, or bring ingredients from their garden to exchange for food from the neighbors, bringing many surprises to viewers. There were many arguments and fights, but very quickly the children learned to admit their mistakes, make peace and correct their mistakes.

“Dad! Where are we going?” is an interesting and emotional journey. The father and son pairs not only experience the local culture, live and work with the locals, but also feel more deeply the father-son relationship. There, the father learns to be patient when raising his children, and the children learn many lessons about life, responsibility, friendship, independence, etc. The attraction of the program is that every situation arises naturally, creating genuine, close and emotional moments for both the viewers and the father and son pairs on each journey.
