The organizational structure and staff of the Civil Enforcement System continue to be strengthened, operating with increasing effectiveness, efficiency, and professionalism. Coordination, especially inter-agency coordination in civil enforcement, has received attention and achieved many positive results.

Despite facing many difficulties, both the number of cases and the amount of money handled increased, but the results of civil judgment enforcement in 2023 reached the highest level ever, with over 575,000 cases and revenue exceeding 89,000 billion VND, including over 20,000 billion VND from the recovery of assets seized or lost in corruption and economic cases (an increase of nearly 4,500 billion VND compared to 2022).

State management in the field of state compensation has been strengthened. Inter-agency coordination in this field has become increasingly in-depth. Many complex and protracted cases have been resolved definitively, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, while also enhancing the sense of responsibility of public officials in performing their duties.

In addition, the work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, and preventing and combating corruption continues to be given serious attention and implemented by the Ministry and the civil judgment enforcement system of the Justice sector.

In addition, inspection and auditing work is carried out regularly, focusing on surprise inspections, inspections of agencies and organizations showing signs of violating the law, and areas under the management of the Ministry of Justice that have caused much public concern and social unrest. In 2023, the Ministry of Justice conducted 53 inspections, verifications, complaint and denunciation resolution, and post-inspection audits.

The key tasks for judicial work in the first quarter of 2024 have been set out, including continuing to direct and organize the enforcement of judgments, ensuring the completion of civil judgment enforcement targets assigned in 2023; and implementing solutions to improve the effectiveness of administrative judgment enforcement.

Continue to effectively implement Directive No. 04-CT/TW dated June 2, 2021, of the Party Central Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership over the recovery of assets lost or misappropriated in criminal cases of corruption and economic crimes; and the Conclusion of the General Secretary and Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena on asset recovery in cases of corruption and economic crimes.
