On the afternoon of May 31st, the Department of Information and Communications of Nam Dinh province held a press briefing for May 2023. At the briefing, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dinh province, provided detailed information on the preparations for the 2023 high school graduation exam.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong also provided information on the results of national and international competitions and exams in the province. Accordingly, in the 2022-2023 National High School Excellent Student Selection Exam, Nam Dinh had 73 out of 93 participating students winning prizes (3 first prizes, 23 second prizes, 25 third prizes, and 22 consolation prizes), a success rate of 78.49%, maintaining its position among the top 5 localities with the highest number of prizes nationwide; 7 students were also selected to participate in the 2023 Olympic team selection exam.
At the 2022-2023 National Science and Technology Competition, one project by students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted won first prize and was selected by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in the international science and technology competition in the United States.
In addition, a group of four students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted won a gold medal at the 2023 World Invention and Innovation Olympiad (WICO); a group of two students from Ly Tu Trong High School had an outstanding STEM project that was among the top 30 STEM projects selected by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education to participate in the 2023 Southeast Asian STEM Education Exhibition in Thailand; and a group of three students from Nguyen Hien Secondary School, Nam Truc District, won second prize in the 2023 VEX IQ Robotics National Competition and were selected among the top 20 teams to participate in the 2023 VEX Robotics World Championship .
At the final round of the World Office Computing Championship - Viettel 2023 (MOSW-Viettel 2023), all 9 students from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted won prizes (1 first prize, 5 second prizes, 2 third prizes, and 1 consolation prize). Dang Thi Minh Anh, a 12th-grade student specializing in English, became the new national champion in the Microsoft Word 2016 category and will represent Vietnam at the MOSWC 2023 world finals held in the United States.
This is the fifth consecutive year that Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted has had a student participate in the MOSWC world finals.
