Tran Minh Thien, a fourth-year student at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, is an all-around outstanding student of the faculty with a GPA of 9.19/10; he has achieved many accomplishments in scientific research and actively participates in school activities.

In particular, Minh Thien is the founder and director of the "Enzymes from Organic Waste" project. This project transforms organic waste into a versatile product that can be used as a household cleaning solution, floor cleaner, wood polish, insect repellent, organic fertilizer, and natural pesticide.

The idea for the project came from Thien's daily observation of the enormous amount of organic waste being carelessly discarded into the environment.

After consulting various documents and scientific journals, Thien realized that organic waste could be transformed and recycled into a multi-purpose solution.

Soon after, Thien gathered 11 other students from various universities across Vietnam, all sharing the same passion, to develop the project together.

Through this project, the members want to send the message that even things considered waste can become valuable resources. They hope to contribute to raising awareness about the importance of recycling and encourage people to adopt sustainable solutions in their daily lives.

The project "Enzymes from Organic Waste" excellently won first prize in the ESG Ambassador ASEAN competition for students from ASEAN countries, which recently took place in Thailand.

In the last five years alone, nearly 500 underprivileged students have received scholarships to continue their pursuit of knowledge.

Among them, 20 outstanding students representing Vietnam achieved many results in various international competitions and forums; 16 community projects from students were presented with the support and assistance of experts in terms of finance, knowledge, advice, and mentorship, bringing the projects to life.
