(QNO) - This afternoon, December 22nd, a conference summarizing the tourism development linkage among the five provinces and cities of Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue - Quang Tri - Quang Binh in 2023 was held in Hoi An City. In 2023, Quang Nam was the leader of the linkage group.

Also in 2023, five localities welcomed numerous famtrip and presstrip delegations from Japan, South Korea, India, Taiwan, and the Philippines... to survey destinations, golf courses, tourism products, and meet and connect with local tourism businesses to further revive the international tourist market.
Mr. Van Ba Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that cooperation and solidarity have been established, strengthened, and developed over time. The five localities have agreed to jointly support and effectively organize many cultural and tourism activities and events of regional significance.
Localities have supported each other in promotion and marketing efforts, ensuring cost-effectiveness while still showcasing the shared destination space of the region and inter-regional products, as well as the unique products of each locality.
"Today we sit here, united in the understanding that linking and cooperating in tourism development is an essential issue for each locality. 'If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together,' Mr. Son said."
The conference also acknowledged some limitations within the liên kết group, such as: uneven funding for promotion among localities, resulting in limited overseas promotion; the inability to organize a product survey program involving the five localities; and the failure to implement the cooperation contents outlined in the memorandum of understanding on tourism development between the liên kết group and Hai Phong City, Quang Ninh, and the Central Highlands region.
In 2024, localities will continue to collaborate in promoting tourism at international tourism fairs in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang; some localities will participate in tourism promotion programs in Australia and Taiwan; and invite bloggers, KOLs, and inspirational figures from various markets such as Europe, India, and South Korea to experience and promote the region's tourism products...
