Improving the quality of education in the field of Theater.

(To Quoc) - On February 28th, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film organized a seminar titled "Improving the Quality of Teaching and Learning at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film," aiming to address theoretical and practical issues regarding teaching and learning for students in the digital age.

Dr. Pham Huy Quang - Acting Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film, and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, stated that in the context of the strong transformations in higher education in response to the demands of innovation and integration, improving the quality of teaching and learning is both a central goal and a driving force for sustainable development of each training institution.

The workshop was attended by lecturers, artists, experts in the fields of theater, film, education, and students.

"The workshop was organized to create a forum for scientists , lecturers, experts, and students to exchange and share experiences, initiatives, and practical solutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning," emphasized Dr. Pham Huy Quang.

In Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film is a pioneering institution in the field of training in theatre, opera, film and television, fine arts design, photography, and other creative industries. Continuously improving teaching methods and updating to modern training trends is extremely crucial.

During the workshop, delegates focused on discussing key issues through presentations such as "Where to begin in improving the quality of teaching and learning at the school?" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Ha, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Film Association; "Improving the quality of dance for Cai Luong actors in the traditional opera department" - Meritorious Artist Le Nguyen Dat, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film; "Training programs: The bottleneck of all bottlenecks" - MSc. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Deputy Director of TFS, Ho Chi Minh City Television Station; "Solutions for digitizing art teaching materials" - MSc. People's Artist Ho Van Thanh,... regarding the need to innovate teaching and learning methods towards creativity, technology application, and increased practical application.

Furthermore, the development of students' skills, especially critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork, was emphasized to meet the demands of the current arts labor market. At the workshop, many students also raised concerns about the need for better tools and applications when studying film music, aiming for closer practical application. The students' feedback was considered and incorporated into future teaching methods by the university.

Dr. Pham Huy Quang - Acting Rector - also hopes to encourage students of the school to conduct scientific research projects in order to create a useful environment for them to pursue higher education.

Furthermore, the workshop also proposed strengthening cooperation between schools and businesses, expanding opportunities for internships, practical training, production, and demonstrations for students. Another important solution is to improve the quality of the teaching staff through professional development and exchange of experience both domestically and internationally.

From these discussions, the workshop opened up many opportunities for cooperation, networking, and long-term strategic direction for the development of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film.
