Royal Enfield, a leading mid-size motorcycle brand in the world , has just officially launched the Bear 650 model in Thailand. Inspired by the legendary racer Eddie "Fast Eddie" Mulder, who won the 1960 Big Bear Run at the age of 16, the Bear 650 is a blend of illustrious racing heritage and contemporary scrambler style. The Bear 650 uses Royal Enfield's famous 650cc parallel-twin engine, producing 47 horsepower (34.6 kW) at 7,250 rpm and 56.5 Nm of torque at 5,150 rpm - outstanding in the mid-range, outperforming many twin-cylinder models in the same segment.
The all-new 2-into-1 exhaust system increases torque and optimizes performance across the rev range, combined with a lightweight single exhaust, creating a nostalgic yet wild scrambler look. The Bear 650’s design is imbued with classic scrambler DNA: bold cross-country tires, a flat seat, a raised rear frame, racing license plates, and increased ground clearance. Every detail is thoughtfully crafted to celebrate the free-spirited “off-road” spirit. The car is available in five California-inspired colorways: White, Blue, Honey Yellow, Glossy Yellow, and a special Two Four Nine colorway – honoring Eddie Mulder’s legendary racing number.
For riders who are passionate about the pure scrambler experience, the Bear 650 is equipped with a sturdy reinforced frame, Showa USD Big Piston front forks with 130 mm travel and Showa Twin Tube RSU rear shock absorbers with 115 mm travel, providing a smooth and stable ride on all roads. With 184 mm ground clearance, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels with multi-purpose tires, the Bear 650 is ready to conquer both the city streets and light off-road adventures. Despite its historical significance, the Bear 650 still features modern equipment such as the all-new "Tripper Dash" TFT screen, which displays clearly and intuitively.
The controls and joysticks of this motorcycle are made of black painted aluminum and are delicately designed, giving a smooth and convenient operating feeling. In the Thai market, the new Royal Enfield Bear 650 2025 is listed at 265,000 - 272,000 baht (equivalent to 214.96 - 220.63 million VND).
