Nghe An announces 10th grade entrance exam scores: Who will be the valedictorian?

TPO - The Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province has just announced the entrance exam scores for grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year. This year, Nghe An province has more than 39,000 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to 69 public schools. Meanwhile, the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted has more than 1,700 candidates taking the exam.

On the afternoon of June 13, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training announced the 10th grade entrance exam scores for the 2025-2026 school year.

After announcing the exam scores, in the next few days, the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province will announce the admission scores to schools.

The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year is the first exam to be conducted according to the 2018 General Education Program with a new exam structure, closely following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training , with high practicality and applicability.

This year, Nghe An province has more than 39,000 candidates registered to take the entrance exam to 69 public schools in the province. Meanwhile, the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted has more than 1,700 candidates.

Students take the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Vinh city, Nghe An

In 2025, candidates will take 3 subjects, including Math, Literature in 120 minutes and English in 60 minutes. Of which, there will be a written test for Math and Literature, and an objective test for English with 40 questions.

The score of the 10th grade entrance exam for Math and Literature is the sum of the component scores of each question in the exam. The exam score is given on a 10-point scale, rounded to the nearest 0.25.

Meanwhile, the score of the Foreign Language exam is the total score of all the questions in the exam, each question is worth 0.25 points. The three exams of Math, Literature, and English are all calculated with a coefficient of 1.

The admission score is the total score of the 3 exams and additional points for priority and incentive candidates. Admitted candidates must not have any exam with a score of 0.

Compared to last year, the number of candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year is about 4,000 less. Meanwhile, the enrollment quota for schools has not changed much compared to last year.
