Nghe An fishermen proactively consume seafood, reinforce boats before storm No. 3 WIPHA
In response to forecasts of the impact of typhoon WIPHA, many fishing boats in Nghe An took advantage of the opportunity to dock early to sell seafood, inspect and reinforce their vessels, and take measures to prevent and combat the storm. With the active participation of functional forces, fishermen proactively responded, avoiding being passive and surprised before the storm made landfall.

The authorities continuously monitored and guided boats to move to shelters in accordance with regulations, ensuring safety. Mr. Ho Xuan Huong - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Quynh Mai ward said: "Implementing the telegram of the Provincial People's Committee, the ward has proactively coordinated with the Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station to notify and guide fishing boats in the area to enter the port to avoid and take shelter from the storm, at the same time, deploying response plans while operating at sea. The ward currently has more than 500 fishing boats, by this afternoon, basically all boats and ships have entered the port safely". WIPHA STORM INFORMATION
Typhoon WIPHA is moving in a West-Northwest direction at 20–25 km per hour.
It is expected that at noon on July 21, the storm will enter the Gulf of Tonkin, then change direction to West - Southwest, directly affecting provinces from Quang Ninh to Nghe An.
When making landfall, the storm will have strong winds of level 10-11, gusting to level 12-13, with a risk of stronger gusts in coastal areas.
The affected area includes both coastal and inland areas of the Northern and North Central provinces.
Authorities recommend that localities urgently take response measures: bring boats to shelters, reinforce cages, trim trees, check electrical systems, and absolutely do not leave people on board when the storm hits.
