The person who won the auction for license plate 51K- 888.88 for more than 15 billion VND is paying the money.

On the morning of November 3rd, sources informed VietNamNet that the person who won the auction for license plate 51K-888.88 is currently depositing the money into the Ministry of Public Security 's dedicated collection account.

According to this source, the winning bidder must pay in installments because they use a personal account, so there is a limit on the daily transfer amount.

"Specifically, the identity of the winning bidder is kept confidential by the auction organizer and the Traffic Police Department as required by law," a source told VietNamNet.

The license plate auctions are closely monitored by the Traffic Police Department.

Earlier, on the morning of October 21st, the Vietnam Joint-Stock Auction Company put the license plate 51K-888.88 up for auction again. 58 people registered to bid for this license plate.

The auction for this license plate was incredibly tense, with participants bidding up to 1.505 billion VND in the first minute after 29 bids.

After 10 minutes, 40 people had entered the auction room. Notably, the bidder with code VPA-FI49WY placed 27 bids, raising the license plate's value to over 6.71 billion VND. The bidder with code VPA-TE4RX7 also placed close bids with 24 bids, reaching 6.725 billion VND.

At the close of the auction at 9:00 AM on the same day, this "super beautiful" license plate was sold for 15.265 billion VND after more than 1,000 bids.

According to Major General Nguyen Van Trung, Director of the Traffic Police Department, as of October 22nd, 3,254 license plates had been successfully auctioned. The total value of the assets exceeded 538 billion VND. 2,432 winning bids have had their payment procedures completed by the bidders, totaling over 298 billion VND.

"Thus, on average, the auctions generate approximately 23 billion VND for the State each day," Major General Nguyen Van Trung informed.
