The King of Thailand highly appreciates the friendly and effective relationship with Vietnam.

On February 24, at Dusit Palace, the King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn and the Queen warmly received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh and his wife who came to say goodbye before the end of their term.

At the reception, the King of Thailand highly appreciated the friendship and comprehensive and effective cooperation between the two countries and the Ambassador's contributions during his last term. The King of Thailand reviewed his previous visits to Vietnam as Crown Prince and expressed his joy at the rapid development of Vietnam at present, wishing that the relationship between the two countries would continue to be strengthened and further developed. The King of Thailand also expressed his hope that in his new position, Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh would continue to contribute to the friendship between the two countries. Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh expressed his honor to meet with King Maha Vajiralongkorn and the Queen; thanked the King for always paying attention and supporting the relationship between the two countries in general, the activities of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand and the Ambassador personally during his last term in particular.

Pleased with the positive development of relations between the two countries in recent years, Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will continue to create favorable conditions for Thai enterprises to invest and do business in Vietnam; encourage and facilitate Thai tourists to Vietnam. Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh especially thanked the Thai King and Queen for their support to the Vietnamese community in Thailand over the years. Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh reiterated the invitation ofthe President of Vietnam to respectfully invite the Thai King and Queen to visit Vietnam again at a suitable time./.
