Musician Quang Thanh Giang (Can Tho City) won the C prize.

(CT) - The Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the Campaign to compose songs about the National Assembly and People's Council, organized by the Office of the National Assembly in coordination with the Vietnam Musicians Association, took place at the National Assembly House, Hanoi, on the evening of June 26. This is an activity towards the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

After more than 10 months of launching (from February 2024 to December 2024), the Organizing Committee has received 672 works by nearly 400 musicians from all over the country. The works ensure content and quality, not only closely following the theme but also diverse in musical style with rich lyrics, deeply expressing the role of the National Assembly and People's Council in the cause of building a socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, for the people. The Appraisal Council through 2 preliminary and final rounds selected 33 excellent works for the Organizing Committee to consider awarding 5 B prizes, 9 C prizes, 19 Encouragement prizes.

Musician Quang Thanh Giang from Can Tho City won the C prize with the choir “Vietnam National Assembly - Radiant Spring”. Musician Quang Thanh Giang said that the inspiration that prompted him to write the work came from his pride in the nation’s historical flow. He composed with all his pride, patriotism, and the heart of an artist for the Fatherland.
