The Vietnam Contemporary Art Theatre will be holding an art program titled "Round Footprints on the Sand" at 8 PM on July 23rd at the Hanoi Grand Theatre. With the aim of paying tribute to the soldiers who wrote countless glorious chapters in the nation's history, the program "Round Footprints on the Sand" consists of three chapters: "Nine Years of Dien Bien Phu, Creating a Red Flower, a Golden Epic," "The River of Red Flowers," and "The Immortal Stone Fortress." The final chapter tells the story of the soldiers who fought to the end to protect every inch of the Fatherland on the Southwestern and Northern borders. The meticulously staged musical and dance performances convey a powerful message about the courage, heroism, and sacrifice of the previous generation for the Fatherland.

The program features the participation of Meritorious Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, singers Tung Duong, Pham Thu Ha, Viet Danh, Phuong Mai, Hue Thuong, Trung Sy, the Thoi Gian group, the Phuong Nam group, the May dance troupe... Notably, musician Truong Quy Hai - the author of many songs about soldiers who sacrificed themselves to protect the Fatherland - will appear in the program to share his memories from the battlefield.

* Meanwhile, the Vietnam Circus Federation is organizing the art program "Going Through the Years 2023" at the Central Circus Theater (67-69 Tran Nhan Tong Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi), taking place at 8 PM on July 17th, 4:30 PM on July 22nd, and 10 AM on July 23rd.

This is the fifth time the Vietnam Circus Federation has staged and performed an art program about origins and gratitude through the language of circus. "Going Through the Years 2023" was written and directed by People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, with the participation of a large cast of artists from all three performing troupes.

The program consists of two parts: Part 1 includes activities to express gratitude and present gifts to families of wounded soldiers, martyrs, and veterans. Part 2 is an artistic program with meticulously staged and engaging performances and scenes.

Specifically, the play "Cúc ơi!" (commemorating the 10 young female volunteers who sacrificed their lives at Đồng Lộc Crossroads) was awarded the Excellence Prize at the 2023 National Festival of Excellent Stage Art Excerpts. Through acrobatic stunts, contortions, rope swinging, balancing acts, and displays of arm strength, the play recreated the story and the heroic sacrifice of the 10 young female volunteers during the resistance war. The play "Round Footprints on the Sand" depicted the image of the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army with the spirit of "disabled but not defeated," showcased through captivating juggling acts and unicycle riding.

The performance "Le Anh Nuoi" depicts the contributions of the supply and support forces during the resistance war. The performance "In the Distant Islands" portrays the image of naval soldiers guarding the country's seas and islands, expressed through pole climbing and acrobatic performances.
