In the chilly afternoon in Dalat, many new students had many beautiful memories in this city of thousands of flowers.
I have never been to Da Lat since I was a child.
Nguyen Thuy Trang, a freshman at the University of Economics – University of Danang, said this was her first time coming to Da Lat. This was a very meaningful trip as she got to visit the famous flower city and receive the scholarship to support her in school .
“I really didn’t think that the program would create so many favorable conditions for me. I got to travel and also receive a scholarship. Da Lat is truly poetic. I am very grateful to the Support to School scholarship program” – Thuy Trang confided.
New student of Da Nang University of Technical Education Tran Van Phuc (Gia Lai province) arrived in Da Lat early in the morning of October 26. Phuc said he went straight from Da Nang to Da Lat instead of going with the Gia Lai group. This was also Phuc's first time going to Da Lat.
“The organizers arranged for students to receive scholarships in the city center, so I took the opportunity to go for a walk and have some memories. I have never been to Da Lat since I was a child,” Phuc said.
Freshmen Nhu Thi Thu Nguyet (Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport) and Bui Thi Phuong Thanh (Hue University) arrived in Da Lat after noon.
Nguyet and Thanh both grew up in the Dak Lak Social Protection Center and worked hard to get into college. Nguyet admitted that if she didn’t get into college, she wouldn’t be able to go far, first to enroll in Ho Chi Minh City, and this time, because she was going to receive the scholarship to go to school, she was able to go to Da Lat.
“We pooled money to rent a motorbike to go around and see Da Lat. When I was in college, I worked part-time and had a small income, so we would drink Da Lat coffee and check-in at many places in the center of Da Lat such as Hoa Binh area, Lam Vien square” – Nguyet happily told the story while holding a cup of Da Lat coffee in her hand.

"If you are happy, we are happy too"
Mr. Kpa Than - a specialist of the Youth Union, Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union School - said that he had been to Da Lat many times, but this return was very emotional for him.
“Witnessing the new students receiving the Tiep Suc Den Truong scholarship was already a great joy, but this time the organizers also created conditions for them to visit Da Lat, making the program even more meaningful.
Most of the new students in Gia Lai who received scholarships have never been to Da Lat, so when we see them happy, we are also happy" - said Mr. Kpa Than.
Mr. Tran Duc Thanh - an officer of the Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union's School Youth Committee - said that for many years, the unit has actively participated in surveys and introduced students to the scholarship program.
Then the unit coordinated with Tuoi Tre newspaper to survey online profiles of Dak Lak new students for the organizing committee to select.
After receiving the results from the organizing committee, the school's Youth Union created a Zalo group to inform students about the procedures as well as the time and place to receive the scholarship.
“Coordinating to make a list and sending students to receive the "Tiep suc den truong" scholarship is always our responsibility because it helps many students in difficulty, giving them more motivation to continue studying.
Most of the students receiving scholarships this time are coming to Da Lat for the first time so they are very excited" - Mr. Thanh said.
