With the cool afternoons in Da Lat, many new students have created wonderful memories in this city of a thousand flowers.

I've never been to Da Lat in my life.

Nguyen Thuy Trang, a new student at the University of Economics – Da Nang University, said this was her first time in Da Lat. She found the trip incredibly meaningful, as she got to visit the famous city of flowers and receive a scholarship from the "Supporting Students to School" program .

“Honestly, I didn't expect the program to provide so much support. I got to go on a trip and receive a scholarship at the same time. Da Lat is truly enchanting. I am very grateful to the ‘Supporting Students to School’ scholarship program,” Thuy Trang expressed.

Tran Van Phuc, a new student at Da Nang University of Technology and Education (from Gia Lai province), arrived in Da Lat early on the morning of October 26th. Phuc said he traveled directly from Da Nang to Da Lat instead of joining the Gia Lai group. This is also Phuc's first time visiting Da Lat.

“The organizers arranged for the scholarship recipients to be in the city center, so I took the opportunity to go for a walk and see the sights and create memories. I’ve never been to Da Lat before in my life,” Phúc said.

Meanwhile, new students Nhữ Thị Thu Nguyệt (Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport) and Bùi Thị Phương Thanh (Hue University) arrived in Da Lat well past noon.

Nguyet and Thanh both grew up at the Dak Lak Social Welfare Center and strived to get into university. Nguyet honestly admitted that if she hadn't gone to university, she wouldn't have been able to travel far, first to Ho Chi Minh City for her enrollment, and this time, thanks to receiving the "Supporting Students to School" scholarship, she was able to go to Da Lat.

“We pooled our money and rented a motorbike to explore Da Lat. Since we had part-time jobs and a small income from university, we could enjoy Da Lat coffee and check in at many places in the city center, like Hoa Binh area and Lam Vien Square,” Nguyet happily recounted, holding a cup of Da Lat coffee.

"When the children are happy, we are happy too."

Mr. Kpă Thân – a specialist in the Youth and School Affairs Department of the Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union – said that he has been to Da Lat many times, but this return trip was very emotional for him.

"Witnessing the new students receiving the 'Supporting Students to School' scholarship was already a great joy, but this time the organizers also created the opportunity for them to visit Da Lat, making the program even more meaningful."

"Most of the new students in Gia Lai who received scholarships had never been to Da Lat before, so seeing them happy makes us happy too," said Kpă Thân.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Duc Thanh – an officer of the Youth and School Affairs Department of the Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union – said that for many years, his unit has actively participated in surveying and recommending students for the scholarship program.

Subsequently, the unit coordinated with Tuoi Tre newspaper to survey the online profiles of new students from Dak Lak province for the organizing committee to select.

After receiving the results from the organizing committee, the school's Youth Committee created a Zalo group to inform students about the procedures, time, and location for receiving the scholarship.

"Coordinating the process of compiling the list and sending students to receive the 'Supporting Students to School' scholarship is always our responsibility because it helps many disadvantaged students and gives them more motivation to continue their studies."

"Most of the students receiving scholarships this time are visiting Da Lat for the first time, so they are very excited," said Thanh.
