Many universities announce additional admissions

Parents and prospective students are seeking information about the admission process at Saigon International University.

According to Cao Quang Tu, Director of Admissions at Saigon International University (SIU), the university is recruiting an additional 300 students for 29 training programs. The deadline for submitting supplementary applications is August 31st.

The school is conducting supplementary admissions through three methods:

- Admission based on 12th-grade academic transcripts: Candidates must meet the following criteria: A conduct rating of "Good" or higher; an average grade of 6.5 or higher for the entire 12th grade year; and a total score of 20 points or higher in the three subjects of the chosen admission combination.

- Admission based on 2024 high school graduation exam results: Candidates must have graduated from high school in 2024 and achieved a combined score of 16-17 points or higher in the three subjects for each major.

- Admission based on the results of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's Aptitude Test: The minimum score for application acceptance is 600 points (out of 1,200).

The minimum admission scores for supplementary applications at Saigon International University are as follows:

The Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages ​​and Information Technology also announced supplementary admissions based on academic transcripts, and the university is accepting applications starting now. The deadline is August 31st, with admission scores based on academic transcripts.

Ton Duc Thang University is conducting supplementary admissions (applications accepted until September 5th) using the following methods: Admission based on high school academic results; admission based on the 2024 high school graduation exam results; and admission based on the 2024 aptitude test results of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City for the following majors:

- Standard programs: environmental science , environmental engineering technology, occupational safety and health, transportation infrastructure construction engineering.

- High-quality program: Civil engineering.

- Programs offered at the Khanh Hoa branch campus: Vietnamese Studies (specializing in tourism and travel), accounting, law, software engineering, business administration (specializing in restaurant and hotel management), marketing, English language, and computer science.

- Undergraduate programs in English: Vietnamese Studies (specializing in tourism and tourism management), Accounting (specializing in international accounting), Finance and Banking, Biotechnology, Control and Automation Engineering, Civil Engineering.

- University preparatory programs in English: Accounting (International Accounting specialization), Finance and Banking, Biotechnology, Control and Automation Engineering, Civil Engineering.

- International joint training programs, international joint training preparatory programs: International Business, Business, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Accounting, Finance and Control, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University also announced supplementary admissions for its training programs using three methods: xét điểm thi tốt nghiệp THPT (considering high school graduation exam scores); xét học bạ THPT (considering high school academic transcripts); and xét điểm thi đánh giá năng lực (considering aptitude test scores).

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the supplementary admission scores are equivalent to the standard admission scores. The highest scores are for General Medicine with 23 points, Dentistry with 22.5 points, Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy with the same score of 21 points; Nursing, Rehabilitation Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Preventive Medicine have a score of 19 points. The remaining majors have a standard admission score of 15 points.

For the academic transcript-based admission method, the school considers three criteria: subject combination, 12th-grade transcript, and transcripts from the three semesters of grades 10, 11, and 12. The admission score for General Medicine is 8.3; Dentistry, Traditional Medicine, and Pharmacy are 8. Preventive Medicine, Nursing, Rehabilitation Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Law have a score of 6.5. The remaining majors have a score of 6.

In the method of evaluating the results of the aptitude test of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, the highest cutoff score was for General Medicine with 650 points, Dentistry with 600 points, and Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy both with 570 points. All other majors had a cutoff score of 550 points. In the 2024 aptitude test of the Vietnam National University Hanoi , the highest cutoff score was 85 points for General Medicine, 75 points for Dentistry, and 70 points for all other majors.

Candidates can submit supplementary applications until August 31st.

Hoa Sen University is accepting an additional 1,500 applications for all undergraduate programs across all admission methods.

The number of quotas for each major and combination of subjects for each specific admission method is as follows:

Hong Bang International University is conducting supplementary admissions for 34 majors with the same admission scores as the first round. Applicants will be considered based on their high school academic transcripts and high school graduation exam scores. The deadline for submitting supplementary applications is September 5th.

For health-related fields, based on high school academic results, candidates must meet the minimum quality standards for admission as stipulated, specifically: for medicine, dentistry, traditional medicine, and pharmacy - the total score of the subject combination for admission must be 24.00 points or higher and the 12th-grade academic performance must be excellent; for nursing, midwifery, medical laboratory technology, and rehabilitation technology - the total score of the subject combination for admission must be 19.50 points or higher and the 12th-grade academic performance must be good or higher.
