NDO - Candidates holding one of the foreign language certificates listed by the Ministry of Education and Training can use it to be exempt from the foreign language exam in the 2025 high school graduation recognition process.
According to the new regulations for the high school graduation exam issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, effective from 2025, the list of foreign language certificates that exempt students from the foreign language exam in the high school graduation recognition process includes: English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, and Japanese.
According to regulations, individuals holding one of the foreign language certificates listed below, or foreign language certificates recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as equivalent to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam (achieving level 3 or higher and valid until the date of the examination), are exempt from the foreign language exam in the 2025 high school graduation recognition process.
These certificates exempt students from the foreign language exam according to the regulations for the high school graduation exam. |
Candidates should note that, compared to previous years' regulations, a new point is that although foreign language certificates are still used for exemption from the graduation exam, they are no longer converted to a 10-point score in the graduation assessment as before; the graduation score calculation formula does not include foreign language points in this case.
Students who are eligible for exemption from the Foreign Language exam but still wish to take the Foreign Language exam in the high school graduation exam must use the results of the Foreign Language exam to calculate their high school graduation score.
The 2025 high school graduation exam, the first exam under the 2018 general education program, is scheduled to take place on June 26th and 27th.
