Specifically, in Decision 351 on the forced suspension of customs procedures for export and import goods of Gia Dinh Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company (No. 10-12-14-16 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), the Investment Goods Customs Sub-Department said that Gia Dinh Textile and Garment was forced to suspend customs procedures because of overdue tax debt of 90 days.

Previously, on February 28, 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department sent an official dispatch requesting the Investment Customs Branch to apply enforcement measures against Gia Dinh Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, because this enterprise has overdue tax debt of 90 days from the deadline for payment as prescribed, with a total debt of over VND 97.7 billion.

The enforcement decision of the customs authority against Gia Dinh Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company is effective for 1 year from March 6, 2024; it will cease to be effective when the tax debt is fully paid to the state budget.

Gia Dinh Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company was established and operated since 2010, operating in the field of garment; construction of civil and industrial works; trading of machinery and equipment... Gia Dinh Textile and Garment used to be one of the few leading enterprises in the textile and garment industry in Ho Chi Minh City. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the export production of this enterprise in particular and the textile and garment industry in general were severely affected. On the same day, the Customs Sub-Department of Investment Management also issued Decision 359 to enforce the suspension of customs procedures for import and export goods of DAH Sheng Garment Export Company Limited (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) with the reason of overdue tax debt of 90 days of more than 2 billion VND. The decision was issued at the request of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department.

In addition to the textile sector, the Customs Sub-Department of Investment Management also issued Decision 349 on stopping customs procedures for import and export goods of DCMA Center (District 10, Ho Chi Minh City) due to overdue tax debt of nearly 15.6 billion VND for 90 days; Decision 347 on stopping customs procedures for import and export goods of Kien Vinh Plastic Packaging Production Company Limited (Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City) due to overdue tax debt of nearly 2 billion VND for 90 days...
