Today, June 4, Director of Cua Pepper Service Cooperative Tran Ha said that in recent days, pepper growers in Cam Lo have been extremely excited to enter the harvest season with high productivity, and pepper prices on the market have doubled compared to last year.
Currently, Cam Lo district still has over 75 hectares of pepper, most of which is in the commercial period. Thanks to favorable weather conditions and good care by local people, this year's pepper crop is a bumper crop, with an estimated yield of about 1 ton/ha.

Pepper growers are very excited because of both good harvest and good prices. Specifically, pepper prices have been increasing continuously in recent days, currently exceeding 150,000 VND/kg, the highest in the past 5 years.
“It is forecasted that in the coming time, pepper prices will continue to increase due to poor pepper harvests in the Central Highlands and the South, and a shortage of supply. This is the motivation for Cam Lo pepper growers to continue investing in restoring and expanding pepper growing areas,” Mr. Ha added.
