NTO - The Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the Steering Committee for the Provincial National Target Programs for the 2021 period

On April 1, comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for National Target Programs (NTP) of the province for the period 2021 - 2025 to listen to a report on the disbursement results of 3 NTP programs in 2023 and the first 3 months of 2024. Also attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches and localities.

Implementing the national target programs, departments, branches and localities have resolutely implemented many solutions in direction and operation, basically achieving positive results. In 2023, the total capital allocated to implement the national target program for sustainable poverty reduction, the national target program for new rural construction and the national target program for socio -economic development in ethnic minority areas is 809.78 billion VND. The whole province has disbursed development investment capital from the central budget reaching 94% of the plan and disbursed career capital reaching 58% of the plan. Regarding the total capital allocated, including the capital in 2022 and 2023 that has not been fully disbursed and transferred to 2024, over 817 billion VND, has so far disbursed 16% of the plan.

Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

After listening to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee speak and listening to the units and localities report on the results achieved as well as difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of the 3 national target programs; concluding the working session, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the 3 standing agencies of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ethnic Minorities Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and related units to urgently review and agree on the plan to adjust the principles and criteria for capital allocation for each program approved by the Provincial People's Council to serve as a basis for adjusting the appropriate career capital plan. Departments, branches, and members of the Steering Committee closely follow the specific mechanisms and policies for implementing the national target programs according to Resolution No. 111/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly and related guiding documents to implement them closely to the local realities; Pay attention to balancing and allocating the budget to the provincial branch of the Social Policy Bank to implement loans for national target programs. Build a close coordination mechanism between agencies and localities to promptly resolve outstanding work, ensuring that the tasks, plans and objectives of the 3 national target programs are accelerated in the coming time.
