Female vice principal involved in the poisoning of 40 students continues to be suspended

The People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune decided to extend the suspension by 15 days for female vice principal Do Thi Hong Hue - the person in charge of the kitchen involved in the case of 40 students hospitalized due to food poisoning.

On October 22, the People's Committee of Kim Ngan Commune ( Quang Tri Province) announced that it had issued a decision to continue suspending Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue - Vice Principal of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities for 15 days.

The suspension extension period starts from October 23.

According to the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune, the suspension extension was carried out because many parents did not agree to let Ms. Hue return to work while the case was still under investigation and there was no official conclusion from the authorities.

Previously, Ms. Hue was temporarily suspended from October 2 to October 22 to serve the investigation.

Afterwards, the school coordinated with the Commune People's Committee to hold a meeting with all parents of 75 boarding students to discuss the reorganization of the kitchen. At the meeting, many parents requested the authorities to continue suspending Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue until the investigation results were clear, in order to ensure the safety of the students.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on the morning of September 26, 40 students of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School had to be hospitalized after breakfast due to food poisoning. Test results from the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang showed that the food samples tested positive for Bacillus cereus bacteria, the agent that causes acute food poisoning.

This kitchen is directly managed by Mrs. Hue.
