On November 28, with a majority vote, the National Assembly passed a resolution approving the appointment of former Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang as Minister of Finance for the 2021-2026 term, as proposed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Prior to this, the National Assembly had approved the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc from the position of Minister of Finance for the 2021-2026 term and Mr. Nguyen Van Thang from the position of Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.
