According to information from Petrolimex , the Group is restructuring its organization from the Group's headquarters to its member companies in accordance with the principles, objectives, and requirements of the conclusions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Steering Committee for the review of Resolution 18-NQ/TW.
Petrolimex will merge and reduce its organizational structure so that each province and city will have only one subsidiary company.
For petroleum companies, Petrolimex will merge and reduce the number of subsidiaries so that each province and city will have only one company directly under the Group, managing the entire system of owned gas stations in that province or city. The name of the petroleum company after the restructuring will be consistent with the name of the new provincial-level administrative unit. The headquarters of the restructured company will be located in the provincial-level political and administrative center.
After the restructuring, the new organizational structure quickly stabilized, maintained its position, increased its adaptability to market fluctuations, and fulfilled the planned targets.
The parent company – the Group – will continue to review and reassess the functions and responsibilities of its operational departments to reduce bureaucracy and increase work efficiency, in line with the criteria of being "lean, efficient, and strong".
In addition, Mr. Pham Van Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrolimex, stated that in 2025, the group has been and is implementing a series of important tasks, including divesting or merging business segments that have completed their historical mission and are no longer aligned with the future development direction.
"The proactive and pioneering restructuring helps the group focus its internal strengths and attract resources into core business activities, especially energy transition projects," Mr. Thanh emphasized.
To ensure the efficient, effective, and effective operation of the organizational structure, the Group's leadership stated that they have been resolutely implementing measures based on the principle of always prioritizing the legitimate interests of employees.
The merger of the units was agreed upon in numerous meetings of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Group, and is a necessary step in accordance with the general policy of the Party and the State.
