Assignment of tasks to Deputy Prime Ministers

(Dan Tri) - The Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 2369 dated October 27, on the assignment of tasks to Deputy Prime Ministers.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh assumed the duties of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister .

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh also monitors and directs: Government Inspectorate, Government Office ; on behalf of the Prime Minister, directly monitors and directs the following areas of work: Crime prevention and control; prevention and control of corruption, negativity, and waste; inspection and settlement of complaints and denunciations; amnesty; and judicial reform.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh is also responsible for coordinating work between the Government, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuracy; matters related to the International Financial Center in Vietnam;

Handling and resolving difficulties and obstacles related to long-standing projects nationwide (handling slow-progressing and ineffective enterprises in the industry and trade sector is monitored and directed by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc); approving investment policies and directing, inspecting, urging, and handling arising issues of investment projects under the authority according to assigned fields.

He is also Head of the Central Steering Committee for the National Target Programs for the period 2021-2025; Head of the Steering Committee for reviewing and removing difficulties and obstacles related to long-standing projects nationwide; Chairman of National Councils and Committees, Head of Steering Committees, Chairman of the Council for appraising planning in related fields.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh will, on behalf of the Prime Minister, direct the implementation of Government work when the Prime Minister is absent and is authorized by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long is responsible for monitoring and directing: Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Health.

Mr. Le Thanh Long also, on behalf of the Prime Minister, directly monitors and directs the following areas of work: Education and training; vocational education; social issues; drug addiction management; implementation of the National Target Program on drug prevention and control until 2030; health, population, family and children; approves investment policies and directs, inspects, urges and handles arising issues of investment projects under his authority in assigned areas.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long also holds the following positions: Chairman of the National Council for Education and Human Resources Development; Chairman of the Central Council for National Defense and Security Education; Chairman of the National Committee for AIDS Prevention and Control, Drug and Prostitution Prevention and Control;

Head of the Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety and Hygiene; Chairmen of National Councils and Committees, Heads of Steering Committees, Chairmen of the Councils for Appraising Planning in Related Fields and other tasks as assigned and authorized by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra is responsible for monitoring and directing the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, on behalf of the Prime Minister, directly monitors and directs aspects of work such as: Regular issues on emulation - rewards, administrative reform; labor, employment, meritorious people, gender equality; approval of investment policies and direction, inspection, urging, and handling of arising issues of investment projects under her authority in assigned fields.

In addition, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra also performs the duties of: Chairwoman of National Councils and Committees, Head of Steering Committees, Chairwoman of the Council for Appraising Planning in Related Fields and performing other tasks as assigned and authorized by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung is responsible for monitoring and directing the Ministry of Justice.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, on behalf of the Prime Minister, directly monitors and directs the following aspects of work: Institutional building, building a socialist rule-of-law state; handling international disputes and complaints; approving investment policies and directing, inspecting, urging, and handling arising issues of investment projects under his authority in assigned fields.

He also performs the duties of: Chairman of National Councils and Committees, Head of Steering Committees, Chairman of the Council for appraisal of planning in related fields and other tasks assigned and authorized by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son monitors and directs assigned areas of work, ministries, agencies and tasks.

Deputy Prime Ministers Tran Hong Ha, Ho Duc Phoc, Nguyen Chi Dung, and Mai Van Chinh continue to monitor and direct assigned areas of work, ministries, agencies, and tasks.
