Assignment of duties to the Deputy Prime Ministers

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 2369 dated October 27, on the assignment of tasks to the Deputy Prime Ministers.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh is serving as the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister .

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh also monitors and directs the Government Inspectorate and the Government Office ; and, on behalf of the Prime Minister, directly monitors and directs the following areas of work: crime prevention and control; prevention and control of corruption, negative practices, and waste; inspection, handling of complaints and denunciations; amnesty; and judicial reform.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh is also responsible for coordinating work between the Government and the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate; and matters related to the International Financial Center in Vietnam.

Handling and resolving difficulties and obstacles related to long-standing stalled projects nationwide (the handling of slow-progressing and inefficient enterprises in the industry and trade sector is monitored and directed by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc); approving investment policies and directing, inspecting, urging, and resolving arising issues of investment projects under its authority according to the assigned field.

He also served as the Head of the Central Steering Committee for National Target Programs for the period 2021-2025; Head of the Steering Committee for reviewing and resolving difficulties and obstacles related to long-standing stalled projects nationwide; Chairman of national councils and committees, Head of steering committees, and Chairman of the appraisal council for planning in related fields.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh will act on behalf of the Prime Minister to direct the implementation of government affairs when the Prime Minister is absent and as authorized by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long is responsible for overseeing and directing the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Health.

Mr. Le Thanh Long also directly monitors and directs the following areas of work on behalf of the Prime Minister: Education and training; vocational education; social issues; drug addiction management; implementation of the National Target Program on Drug Prevention and Control until 2030; health, population, family and children; approving investment policies and directing, inspecting, urging, and handling arising issues of investment projects under his authority according to the assigned areas.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long also holds the following positions: Chairman of the National Council for Education and Human Resource Development; Chairman of the Central Council for National Defense and Security Education; Chairman of the National Committee for AIDS Prevention and Control and the Prevention of Drug Abuse and Prostitution;

Head of the Central Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on Food Hygiene and Safety; Chairman of National Councils and Committees; Head of Steering Committees; Chairman of the Council for evaluating planning in related fields; and other tasks as assigned or delegated by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra is tasked with overseeing and directing the Ministry of Interior.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, on behalf of the Prime Minister, directly monitors and directs various aspects of work, including: routine issues related to emulation and commendation, administrative reform; labor, employment, meritorious individuals, gender equality; approving investment policies; and directing, inspecting, urging, and resolving issues arising from investment projects within her assigned areas of authority.

In addition, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra also serves as the Chairperson of national councils and committees, Head of steering committees, Chairperson of the appraisal council for planning in related fields, and performs other tasks as assigned or delegated by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung is tasked with overseeing and directing the Ministry of Justice.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, on behalf of the Prime Minister, directly monitors and directs the following aspects of work: institutional building, building a socialist rule of law state; handling international disputes and complaints; approving investment policies; and directing, inspecting, urging, and resolving issues arising from investment projects within his assigned areas of authority.

He also holds the following positions: Chairman of National Councils and Committees, Head of Steering Committees, Chairman of the Council for evaluating planning in related fields, and other tasks as assigned or delegated by the Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son monitors and directs the work in various fields, ministries, agencies, and assigned tasks.

Deputy Prime Ministers Tran Hong Ha, Ho Duc Phoc, Nguyen Chi Dung, and Mai Van Chinh will continue to monitor and direct the areas of work, ministries, agencies, and tasks assigned to them.
