Finland is not testing a freight pipeline system using magnetic superconducting technology.

Recently, social networks reported that Finland is testing the world's first pipeline system to transport goods using magnetic superconducting technology, without the need for an engine.

According to a Facebook post on August 17, Finland has attracted global attention for testing a freight transport system using magnetic superconductivity technology, achieving speeds of over 500 km/h without engines, wheels, or tracks.

"Goods are stored in temperature-controlled modules, suitable for transporting pharmaceuticals, electronics, and fresh food. Thanks to the absence of moving parts in the rails and compartments, maintenance is minimal, downtime is low, and noise is virtually nonexistent," the post stated.

The post claims that this pipeline system was developed by the VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland.

"Initial tests on the 10km prototype achieved a stable lift and a speed of 520km/h, proving the feasibility of the technology."

"If implemented nationwide, the system could redefine supply chains thanks to its high speed, zero emissions, and superior reliability," the post stated.

However, the fact-checking site Lead Stories states that no media outlet has reported on the pipeline testing in Oulu, Finland, as is being spread on social media.

Upon verification, Lead Stories confirmed that VTT is a real organization, but a search for the keyword "maglev" on their website yielded no results.

"Maglev" stands for "magnetic levitation." Contrary to the images on Facebook depicting objects levitating, this technology can only lift objects a few millimeters in reality.

Similarly, searching for the keyword "maglev" on Yahoo and Google yields no results, while this technology remains in the testing phase in some countries due to its high cost.
