Earlier, on the same morning, people in Hamlet 3B, Khe Sanh town, while digging the foundation for a house, discovered signs of martyrs' remains and reported it to the authorities.

Upon receiving the information, the team collecting martyrs' remains of the 337th Economic - Defense Group arrived at the scene, conducted a survey and search. As a result, at a depth of 70 cm under the soil, the team discovered 2 martyrs' remains with many accompanying relics such as artillery shells, vehicle and tank chimneys, parachute cloth, telephone wire, toothpaste and toothbrush, buttons...
