Zero-dong leaf market for students and people in difficult circumstances

On the morning of September 23, at Ngoc Truyen Monastery (Tan Ninh Ward, Tay Ninh Province), the Association for the Support of the Disabled, the Poor and the Protection of Children's Rights of Tay Ninh Province coordinated with Ngoc Truyen Monastery to organize a 0-VND Leaf Market for students and people in difficult circumstances.

Attending and presenting gifts at the market were Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly of the province; Mr. Nguyen Van Qua, Chairman of the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities, the Poor and the Protection of Children's Rights of the province; and Venerable Nun Thich Nu Phung Lien - Abbot of Ngoc Truyen Monastery, representing the main sponsoring unit.

Speaking at the opening of the market, Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Support of People with Disabilities, the Poor, and the Protection of Children's Rights, Nguyen Van Qua, said that this was the first time Ngoc Truyen Monastery had coordinated the organization of the "Zero-Cost Leaf Market" to commemorate and express gratitude to the late Venerable Nun Thich Nu Huong Lien on the 3rd anniversary of her passing; and at the same time, to contribute to better care for people and students in difficult circumstances.

Representatives presented gifts to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

At the market, delegates and philanthropists presented gifts to 100 students from primary schools in Tan Ninh and Binh Minh wards, and 50 disabled and elderly people in difficult circumstances in Binh Minh ward. Each gift package included notebooks, school bags, Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns, rice, noodles, milk, and various other agricultural products, with a total value of 100 million VND.

Students and local residents receive gifts from the program.

In addition, students and those from disadvantaged backgrounds were able to enjoy more than 10 free food and drink items.
