Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission appointed Secretary of Long An

On the morning of February 22, Long An Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee, holds the position of Secretary of Long An Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the Politburo's decision to remove Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet from the Central Inspection Committee and from the position of Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee, term XIII, term 2021 - 2026. At the same time, he was transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and to hold the position of Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee for the term 2020 - 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet received the decision to become Secretary of Long An Provincial Party Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Mr. Le Minh Hung congratulated the new Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Hung said that Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet is a well-trained cadre with high professional qualifications, scientific thinking and working methods, determination, and democracy, and is highly appreciated by the Politburo and the Secretariat.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet has made many important contributions to the common achievements of the units and localities where he has worked.

The Politburo and the Secretariat believe that in his new position, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet will continue to excellently fulfill his assigned tasks.

Mr. Le Minh Hung suggested that, immediately after taking on the new assignment, the new Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Executive Committee of the Long An Provincial Party Committee should lead the implementation of the tasks set out by the Provincial Party Committee.

In particular, focus on reviewing the targets and objectives of the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress; lead the successful organization of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the 12th Long An Provincial Party Congress. Along with that, focus on digital transformation, science and technology; focus on key projects, regional linkages... to strongly develop Long An homeland in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet gave a speech accepting the assignment.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet thanked the Politburo for entrusting him with the important task. He considered this an important milestone and a great honor in his work as well as a great responsibility before the Party Central Committee, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Long An province.

"Inheriting the fine traditions of generations of cadres, leaders and people of Long An province, I will strive to promote revolutionary ethics and exemplary pioneering spirit. Continuously learn, uphold the spirit of dynamism, creativity, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility", Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet emphasized and said that he always stays close to the grassroots, quickly grasps the situation, upholds the principles of the Party, and together with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee, leads and directs the building and consolidation of great solidarity and unity within the Party.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet hopes that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Executive Committee of the Long An Provincial Party Committee will unite, join hands, and receive contributions from previous generations of leaders and people of all walks of life to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, born in 1972, from Khanh Nhac commune, Yen Khanh district, Ninh Binh province, has a bachelor's degree in Law, master's degree in Party Building and State Administration. He used to work at Ninh Binh Provincial People's Court, Department of Justice, Notary Office, Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee.

In September 2007, Mr. Quyet worked at the Central Inspection Committee, serving as Head of Department of Area 5.

At the 3rd Central Conference in July 2021, Mr. Quyet was elected as an additional member of the Central Inspection Committee and then held the position of Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee.
