Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong gave an overview of Tuyen Quang province, and emphasized that in recent years, the province has actively implemented activities to connect and meet with the Vietnamese community abroad, and participated in events organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.

Currently, Tuyen Quang province has over 5,400 people residing, working, and studying in more than 50 countries and territories. In 2024, the province received attention and support from the Vietnamese community in several countries, the Association of Vietnamese Businesspeople Abroad, etc.

To strengthen connections and further promote cooperation between Tuyen Quang province and the overseas Vietnamese community, the province hopes that overseas Vietnamese experts and intellectuals will participate in consulting, technology transfer, and investment cooperation in the province in areas where the province has potential and strengths such as agriculture , tourism, and trade; enhance cultural exchange activities among overseas Vietnamese in the locality, organize events to preserve Vietnamese cultural identity abroad; and that overseas Vietnamese will contribute to charitable programs and build social infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, and houses for the needy.

The comrade suggested that the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs report and propose to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue supporting localities in updating information and connecting with the overseas Vietnamese community, creating conditions and opportunities for localities to meet overseas Vietnamese; and to encourage overseas Vietnamese intellectuals, businesses, and influential entrepreneurs to invest and expand production and business in Vietnam, including Tuyen Quang province.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, affirmed that no matter where they are or what work they do, overseas Vietnamese always keep the flame of patriotism in their hearts, remain deeply attached to their roots, and join hands to contribute to building an increasingly prosperous and beautiful homeland.

In the coming period, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs hopes that Tuyen Quang province will continue to pay attention to the work related to overseas Vietnamese; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs in implementing Conclusion 12 of the Politburo on the work related to overseas Vietnamese affairs in the new situation, attracting resources from overseas Vietnamese to serve the socio-economic development of the province; support local liaison associations and associations of relatives of overseas Vietnamese to improve their operational efficiency; continue to closely coordinate with the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs to provide regular and timely information, support, and resolve issues related to overseas Vietnamese; and organize programs for overseas Vietnamese in the locality.

Representatives of the overseas Vietnamese delegation presented financial support to the province to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

During the meeting, the overseas Vietnamese delegation watched a video introducing the culture, economy, and society of Tuyen Quang province; and discussed investment opportunities in Tuyen Quang.
