Reporting on the school's operations, Mr. Mai Minh Nhat - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dalat University said: The school has a training scale of more than 14 thousand students, trainees, and postgraduates in 40 undergraduate majors, 11 master's majors, and 7 doctoral majors.
The school has a team of young, highly qualified lecturers and scientists, with 1 professor, 18 associate professors and 114 doctors. The proportion of lecturers with doctoral degrees is about 43%.

The school has established strengths in three research areas: Natural sciences - technology; social sciences and humanities; economics - law - tourism.
The school's facilities and equipment are gradually invested in a modern and synchronous manner, well meeting the teaching, research and learning requirements of lecturers and students.

Regarding development orientation, Mr. Mai Minh Nhat said: By 2030, the school strives to be accredited as an educational institution according to the standards of the Southeast Asian University Network; the proportion of lecturers with doctoral degrees will reach over 50%; the scale of regular enrollment will reach over 3,500 students and trainees per year...
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh expressed his impression with the results that Da Lat University has achieved in recent times. Especially the school's initiative in building a development strategy for the coming time.
Agreeing with the school's development orientation, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested a number of issues such as: The school needs to review all contents in the development strategy, proactively follow the viewpoints, goals, tasks, and solutions of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation and Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development of the Politburo to orient development tasks in accordance with reality.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that schools need to link training, focusing on linking training with practice through cooperation between schools and businesses.
Focus on training high-quality human resources according to the province's needs in fields such as: healthcare, industry, tourism, high-tech agriculture, etc.
