Also attending the festival were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hiep Duc district, along with representatives of the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hiep Duc district and leaders of Phuoc Tra commune.
Tra No is the central residential area of Phuoc Tra commune with 154 households and 710 people, of which 95% are ethnic minority households of Ca Dong and Mo Nong. The people's economy mainly depends on forestry. In addition to growing acacia, the whole village has 75 households taking care of and exploiting large rubber plantations.
People also strongly develop livestock farming with a total herd of more than 700 buffaloes and cows, along with many households raising pigs and poultry. Average income per capita reaches 38 million VND/year.
Over the past year, the cadres and people of Tra No village have promoted the spirit of solidarity and strived to effectively implement the five contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
The rate of children going to school reached 100%; the village has 5 children attending university; there are 153/154 cultural households; the whole village has reduced to 22 poor households (24 households less than in 2023) ...
Thanks to the care and investment of the Party and State, people's lives are constantly improving, especially those in difficult circumstances and families with preferential policies.
During the year, 8 households in the village were supported to build solidarity houses with a budget of 520 million VND; 3 households were supported to demolish temporary and dilapidated houses with a budget of 180 million VND...
Speaking at the festival, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung, on behalf of the provincial leaders, praised the results that Tra No village has achieved in the past time; at the same time, he hoped that the village would continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and pioneer in building self-management models in residential areas.
Comrade Tran Nam Hung hopes that each household in Tra No village must have the spirit of rising up from poverty, improving their own lives, developing the economy in parallel with effective forest protection; joining hands to well implement the policies of the Party and State; building a truly cultural family...
At the Great Unity Festival, the provincial leaders supported the construction of a Great Unity house for a poor household with a budget of 60 million VND; presented 10 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 10 poor households with especially difficult circumstances.
