Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 926/QD-TTg on the establishment of the Council for Appraisal of the Project to establish Hue City under the Central Government. Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh is the Chairman of the Council.

Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra as Vice Chairwoman of the Council.

The Council members are representatives of the Government Office and the Ministries of: Home Affairs; Construction; Planning and Investment; Natural Resources and Environment; Justice; Transport; National Defense; Public Security; Finance; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; Health; Education and Training; Industry and Trade; Agriculture and Rural Development.

According to the decision, the Appraisal Council operates part-time and will dissolve itself after the Project to establish Hue City under the Central Government is approved by the Government.

The Ministry of Home Affairs is the Standing Body of the Council, synthesizing and drafting the Council's appraisal results to ensure compliance with legal provisions and reporting to the Council Chairman.

The operating expenses of the Appraisal Council are provided by the state budget, arranged in the regular expenditure estimates of the Ministry of Home Affairs and are managed and used in accordance with the provisions of the law on the state budget and other relevant legal documents.
