The launch took place at 7:25 a.m. on September 2 local time (9:25 p.m. the same day Vietnam time) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California (USA).
The constellation of satellites launched into low Earth orbit is part of the Common Warfighting Space Architecture (PWSA) program.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said his company has launched 61 satellites using its Falcon rocket this year, noting that if the next launch scheduled for September 3 (local time) “goes well,” SpaceX will “exceed the number of launches last year.”
Previously, SpaceX had postponed the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket twice due to adverse weather conditions.
