On the morning of December 3, the Hanoi Women's Union coordinated with the Hai Ba Trung Ward Women's Union to organize the Capital Women's Communication Program in response to 35 years of Vietnam's response to HIV/AIDS, the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control in 2025 and World HIV/AIDS Day.

Responding to World AIDS Day (December 1), the National Committee for AIDS, Drug and Prostitution Prevention and Control launched the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control in 2025 from November 10 to December 10, 2025 with the theme "Unity is strength - Joining hands to end the AIDS epidemic".

Launching the campaign for women in the capital to join hands in responding to the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control in 2025, comrade Duong Thi Minh Anh said that in recent times, the Women's Union at all levels has proactively and actively implemented many practical activities in propaganda and mobilization for HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

Women's Unions at all levels have closely coordinated with local authorities to promote propaganda to raise awareness among members and people about the risks and measures to prevent HIV/AIDS; and mobilize members to actively participate in building a community without stigma and discrimination against people infected with HIV/AIDS.

The Association also advises and supports members, women and people infected with HIV/AIDS to have timely and effective access to the State's support policies.

To achieve the goal of ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030, the Hanoi Women's Union calls on its members, women and people of Hanoi to join hands and make efforts to propagate and mobilize people infected with HIV/AIDS to effectively receive support from the government, functional agencies, mass organizations, social organizations, and non -governmental organizations; and eliminate stigma and discrimination against people infected with HIV/AIDS.

He hopes that the city's departments, branches, local authorities, mass organizations at all levels and other volunteer organizations as well as all members, women and people of the capital will continue to join hands to build a healthy capital and a safe, peaceful and friendly Vietnam.

In her response, comrade Nguyen Lan Anh, Permanent Vice President of the Women's Union of Hai Ba Trung Ward, emphasized that this year's theme is not only a call, but also a reminder that the fight against HIV/AIDS, in order to be successful, requires the synchronous participation of the entire political system, the cooperation of each individual, each family and the whole society.

In particular, women – as the family's breadwinners and active participants in community activities – have more responsibility and ability to create solidarity, spread humane and practical messages in the effort to end stigma and discrimination and support people with HIV/AIDS to integrate into the community.

After the launching ceremony, the Capital Women's Propaganda Team cycled to respond to the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control in 2025 to propagate on main streets; the Hanoi Women's Union coordinated with the Ward Women's Union to organize a Conference to propagate basic knowledge on preventing and combating stigma and discrimination against people infected with HIV/AIDS.
