Martyr Nguyen Van Kho was born in 1958, originally from Phuc Ninh commune, Yen Son district, Ha Tuyen province (now Tuyen Quang province). In 1977, following the sacred call of the Fatherland, comrade Nguyen Van Kho, who was just 19 years old at the time, volunteered to join the Vietnamese volunteer army, trained and participated in combat at the K battlefield. On February 4, 1978, in a fierce battle, refusing to surrender to the Pol Pot invaders, comrade Kho heroically sacrificed himself at the southwestern front, in Chau Doc town, Chau Phu district, An Giang province.
After 47 years of being gathered, built and burned incense at Chau Phu Martyrs' Cemetery by the local government and people of Vinh Thanh Trung commune, An Giang province, the remains of martyr Nguyen Van Kho have been brought back and solemnly buried at Tuyen Quang province's Martyrs' Cemetery.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, leaders, cadres, soldiers, local people and relatives of martyrs respectfully laid wreaths, offered incense and observed a moment of silence to express deep gratitude for the heroic sacrifice of the comrade for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
