According to the emergency declaration decisions issued by the People's Committee of Ha Giang province (formerly) regarding natural disasters in the Coc Pai area (Pa Vay Su commune), nearly 200 households in the hazardous zone needed to be urgently relocated and resettled to ensure their safety. The local authorities have arranged emergency resettlement areas at two locations: the resettlement area in Thinh Tang village (formerly Ban Ngo commune) and Coc Pu village (formerly Nan Ma commune).

At the meeting, the Provincial Land Development Center presented detailed contents of the draft compensation, support, and resettlement plan according to current regulations; and also exchanged and received feedback from the people. The total estimated cost for compensation and support (for assets on the land) in the second phase is over 43 billion VND for 47 households, according to the decisions of the Provincial People's Committee. Previously, on December 5th, the Provincial Land Development Center publicly announced the compensation plan for assets on the land (phase 1) for 47 households subject to urgent relocation, with an estimated total amount of nearly 47 billion VND.
Publicly presenting the draft aims to ensure transparency and create consensus between the implementing agency and the people affected by the project. Households are encouraged to participate in providing feedback, verifying inventory information, and providing additional relevant documents so that the review and completion of the dossiers can be carried out on schedule.
