More than half of 2025 graduation exam candidates scored below average in math

(Dan Tri) - According to the score distribution announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, up to 56% of high school graduation candidates this year scored below average in math.

The 2025 high school graduation exam has more than 1.12 million candidates taking the math exam under the new generaleducation program.

Although the number of 10s is a record high with 513 students achieving it, while in 2024 there were no 10s, the math score range this year is very low.

Specifically, there were 635,102 candidates with math scores below average (below 5), accounting for 56.39%.

In 2024, this figure will be only 17.49%.

From 7 points and above, there were 137,741 candidates passing, accounting for 12.23%. This figure last year was 45.23%.

The highest score a candidate achieved was 4.75. Last year the common score was 7.6.

Math is also the subject with the most candidates scoring below 1 with 777 students. In 2024, this number is 76 students.
