Marathon running is a popular sport and Ninh Binh is continuously a prestigious destination for event organizers to choose. Since the beginning of 2025, Ninh Binh has had 6 marathon races organized, attracting thousands of domestic and foreign athletes. The Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths 2025 race, hosted by the New Raceway Joint Stock Company, Cuc Phuong National Park in coordination with the Ninh Binh Department of Culture and Sports in April 2025, is one of the impressive races, attracting many athletes to participate.
This is an international mass sports tournament with over 2,500 professional and amateur athletes registered to compete, including 42 foreign athletes from 17 countries and territories participating. The route of the race runs through the oldest National Park and buffer zone in Vietnam, spectacular trails across 3 provinces of Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Hoa Binh .
Immersed in the lush green space of Cuc Phuong, athletes are challenged on winding trails, winding through primeval forests. The majestic natural scenery and diverse terrain have brought unforgettable running experiences. With the message "Run to conserve", Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths 2025 is not only a race but also a meaningful journey, contributing to protecting nature and raising public awareness of environmental protection.
Athlete Nguyen The Anh (from Hanoi) shared that this was the first time he had challenged himself with a 42km running route. The deeper he went into the core of the forest, the more he could admire the amazing natural scenery and the more endemic plants appeared. The fresh air of nature with challenging routes was a wonderful experience for this athlete.
The Ninh Binh Heritage Half Marathon, scheduled to be held this coming August at the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Historical Site, Hoa Lu City, Ninh Binh Province, is one of the races that athletes are looking forward to in 2025.
Mr. Le Minh Tho, Director of Trang An Ninh Binh One Member Limited Liability Company, representing the Organizing Committee, shared that Ninh Binh is a locality with unique natural landscapes. In particular, this place also owns Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. The race is not only a race, but also an experience of discovering new and interesting lands that the Organizing Committee wishes to bring to athletes. Up to now, the race has had 3,500 athletes registered to participate, promising to be a sports festival, raising awareness of health training, inspiring the sports spirit in the community and being a bridge of culture, tourism and people between regions. Through the race, it contributes to promoting Ninh Binh tourism and spreading the message of healthy living, loving nature, and spreading social responsibility.
