According to the report presented at the conference, in implementing Resolution No. 23 of the Provincial Party Committee, agencies, units, and localities organized 461 training sessions on laws related to preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negative practices, with 33,364 cadres, civil servants, and citizens participating. They also compiled and distributed 9,311 documents to widely disseminate and introduce policies and laws related to preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negative practices.
Over the past three years, following Resolution No. 23 of the Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee has led the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Provincial Inspectorate to guide units and localities in implementing the declaration of assets and income for 9,716 people who are required to declare (of which 9,713 people have already declared their assets and income).
In the province, 749 out of 775 cases involved job transfers aimed at preventing corruption, as stipulated by regulations. Police units and localities transferred 182 out of 336 cases to new positions.
Throughout the province, there were 8 cases of heads of agencies and 1 case of deputy heads of agencies being disciplined for negligence leading to corruption within their respective agencies and units.
Party committees and organizations conducted inspections and held accountable the heads and deputy heads of agencies and units where corruption and negative practices occurred, in accordance with regulations. Competent party committees and organizations considered the resignation and dismissal of 15 comrades under the management of the district-level Party Standing Committee.
Regarding the results of initiating investigations, prosecuting, and adjudicating cases of corruption, waste, negative practices, economic crimes, and abuse of power, according to the report, the investigative agencies of the Provincial and District Police have discovered and investigated 231 cases involving 431 defendants accused of crimes related to corruption, economic crimes, and abuse of power; of which 149 cases involving 344 defendants were newly initiated.
The People's Procuratorate at both levels handled 46 cases involving 122 defendants; 43 cases involving 114 defendants have been resolved and prosecuted, and 3 cases involving 8 defendants are currently being processed. The People's Courts at both levels handled 157 cases involving 366 defendants.
Specifically, there were 84 first-instance economic cases involving 196 defendants; 57 corruption and malpractice cases involving 143 defendants; 9 appellate economic cases involving 20 defendants; and 7 appellate corruption and malpractice cases involving 7 defendants. A total of 144 cases involving 339 defendants have been resolved and tried. Specifically, there were 84 first-instance economic cases involving 196 defendants; 46 corruption and malpractice cases involving 118 defendants; 9 appellate economic cases involving 9 defendants; and 5 appellate corruption and malpractice cases involving 5 defendants.
