Dak Koi commune currently has 10 suspension bridges serving the travel and production needs of more than 50% of the commune's population. These works were invested in and built before 2012 and are now degraded in many areas. Meanwhile, the commune's budget is still limited and not enough to balance itself for repairs. According to the plan, the proposed funding will be used to repair 9 suspension bridges in villages 2, 5, 7, 9, Kon Bi, Kon Lung, Kon Vi Vang, Kon Long. The repair items include dismantling and replacing damaged components, removing rust, and painting anti-rust paint on all bridge components; repairing bridge piers and bridgehead roads; adding anti-roll and anti-sway cables, arranging anti-erosion stone gabions, and completing the traffic safety system according to current standards.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tri, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Koi commune, said that the repair of 9 suspension bridges for people is urgent because they have seriously degraded, posing a potential risk to traffic safety and directly affecting people's lives, especially during the rainy season.
