Launching Cambridge English exam center in Da Lat

(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of May 26, Dalat University coordinated with the Authorized Testing Center VN290 (under Hoa Thang Education and Investment Company Limited) to organize the launching ceremony of the Cambridge English test site in Dalat.

Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang - Vice Principal and Deputy Director of the Center for Foreign Languages ​​and Human Resources Training of Dalat University said: VN290 is a unit authorized by Cambridge English and approved by the Ministry of Education and Training for the project of joint organization of Cambridge English certification exams in Binh Thuan, Dong Nai and Lam Dong. In order to help candidates in the area more conveniently access Cambridge English certification exams, VN290 and Dalat University opened a testing location at the school on April 17, 2025.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Pham Minh Duc - Supervisor of English Certificate Examinations of the University of Cambridge Examinations, UK in Vietnam informed: Cambridge English Certificates are now widely recognized globally by 28,000 universities, businesses and government organizations. Each year, more than 5.5 million candidates in more than 130 countries take Cambridge exams through a network of more than 2,800 authorized examination centers and more than 50,000 exam preparation centers. Cambridge University Publishing and Examinations also provide comprehensive teaching materials and support for teachers and learners worldwide to best prepare for these exams.

In Vietnam, a number of Cambridge certificates have been recognized by the Ministryof Education and Training to exempt English from the National High School Graduation Exam as well as to serve as a basis for admission and exit for undergraduate, master's and doctoral training programs.

Currently, Cambridge exams are held in two forms: on paper and on computer. In particular, the computer-based exam format is increasingly popular thanks to its outstanding advantages such as quick results announcement time, flexible exam schedule, simple registration process and modern, convenient exam experience for candidates.

In the context of increasingly deep international integration, improving foreign language proficiency for students, especially English, has become one of the strategic goals of Vietnamese education.

The establishment of the Cambridge English test center in Da Lat not only meets the local demand for learning and taking international standard English exams, but also actively contributes to the goal of improving foreign language proficiency for the young generation in Lam Dong.
