Attending the event were: Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Political Theory; Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; and representatives from several ministries, departments, and central agencies in charge of press management.
On behalf of the Academy's leadership, Professor - Doctor Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, congratulated journalists in general, and those working in the Academy's journalistic system in particular, on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized that, over the past 99 years, the revolutionary press of Vietnam has continuously developed and matured, making immense contributions to the cause of national construction, development, and defense. Sharing in this honor and pride is the pride of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, which has trained and nurtured tens of thousands of cadres, reporters, and editors of the revolutionary press in political theory, enabling them to become steadfast in ideology, firm in their stance, and morally upright. The Academy of Journalism and Communication, a key national university specializing in Journalism and Communication for the entire country, has also made significant contributions to the development of the revolutionary press.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, in recent years, the press system of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics has undergone many positive changes, gradually affirming its position in the national press system. Several journals have strived to diversify their publication formats, develop electronic journals, and publish special issues... Most journals have had their scientific articles scored and upgraded by the State Council for Professor Titles. Distribution has been improved and its effectiveness ensured.
The press agencies have strictly adhered to their principles, objectives, functions, and tasks, successfully fulfilling their assigned duties and contributing to the Academy's political mission; effectively serving the training and development of cadres, scientific research, the Party's ideological and theoretical work, disseminating information on the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, and the State's policies and laws; actively participating in summarizing practical experiences, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints…

Looking ahead to the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day in 2025, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that the Journalists' Association of the Academy proactively develop plans and organize activities suitable to the specific characteristics of the Academy's journalism, while also focusing on participating in activities of the industry, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and national and sectoral journalism awards, especially those awards and movements launched by the Vietnam Journalists Association.
On this occasion, the Journal of Political Theory – the scientific publication of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics – launched its new online version (https://lyluanchinhtri.vn/), marking a new stage of development for the Journal in its journey to contribute to improving the quality of research and disseminating political theory knowledge to a wide range of cadres, Party members, and the people.
