The AI robot from Perspective (based in the US) successfully performed a dental crown replacement in just 15 minutes, eight times faster than a dental professional.
To perform the procedure, the patient's mouth is first mapped using a 3D scanner. Then, AI plans and executes the surgery automatically, without human supervision.

With a two-step process, each lasting about an hour to remove the old crown and install the replacement, Perspective's AI robot can shorten the time to just 15 minutes without compromising accuracy or patient safety.
The company received a $30 million grant from Mark Zuckerberg, equivalent to over 750 billion VND, to develop its technology. According to Perspective, this technique helps detect cavities and other dental problems with up to 90% accuracy.
