(PLVN) - The 10th Buckwheat Flower Festival, themed "Land of Fond Memories," will officially take place from November 9th to 21st, 2024, at the Youth Square in Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province.
Currently, over 250 hectares of buckwheat flowers have been planted in three phases to ensure the flowers remain vibrant throughout the festival season. Of this, over 50 hectares in key locations are specially cared for, creating lush flower carpets ready to welcome visitors for viewing and photography. In particular, the festival will also feature a giant ceremonial flute and a large bamboo pipe, promising to create impressive and meaningful experiences for visitors during the festival.
Along with ensuring safety in travel and accommodation, Ha Giang is implementing several measures to stimulate tourism recovery. Specifically, the Ha Giang Tourism Association has called on its members and tourism businesses to participate in a stimulus program offering discounts of 10-30% on services, running from mid-September 2024 until the end of the peak tourist season in early February 2025.
The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024, themed "Da Lat Flowers - A Symphony of Colors," is expected to last one month and officially open on December 5, 2024. The Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 will feature floral displays around Xuan Huong Lake, public parks (Yersin, Tran Hung Dao, etc.), and along Nguyen Van Cu, Le Dai Hanh, and Tran Quoc Toan streets.
The Da Lat Flower Festival is a cultural and tourism festival of Lam Dong province aimed at promoting the image of Da Lat - Lam Dong's culture, people, and tourism to domestic and international tourists; further affirming Da Lat as Vietnam's Flower Festival City, a UNESCO Creative City in the field of music , and one of the "Group of 5 Impressive Festival Cities in Asia". The 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival will create momentum for the tourism industry in achieving the target of 9.7 million tourists for the whole year; striving to reach 12 million tourists to Lam Dong by 2025.
Flower festivals are not only an occasion to honor flowers but also an opportunity to promote local tourism development, generate income and promote the national cultural identity of local people.
