"I've received a few invitations to play in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. But I don't think it's practical. I want to take time to rest and prepare thoroughly, because this season will be very long. Especially with the World Cup at the end of the year," Ronaldo shared.
Ronaldo's statement has dispelled rumors that the Portuguese superstar was being overlooked by clubs for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
"I want to be ready not only for Al Nassr but also for the national team. That's why I decided to play the last game of the season in the UEFA Nations League and not pay attention to other offers. And of course, I love this club (Al Nassr) very much," Ronaldo added.
The captain of the Portuguese national team affirmed that his goal when renewing his contract with Al-Nassr was to win major titles with the team.
"My goal has always been to win something significant for Al Nassr. And I still believe I can do it," Ronaldo emphasized. "That's why I extended my contract for another two years – because I believe I will become a champion in Saudi Arabia," Ronaldo concluded.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2022 after leaving Manchester United on a free transfer. He has scored 93 goals in 105 appearances for Al Nassr in all competitions. Recently, Ronaldo signed a "super contract" extension to continue his association with Al Nassr for another two years.
